This challenge was using circle strings. I thought it would be fun to use circles within circles. I really like how this turned out. I have really been enjoying doing the Diva challenges. If you do Zentangle and you haven’t tried one of the challenges, I urge you to give it a shot. You can find them on her blog I am the diva.
I’m a little late to the party on this one. But I did have some fun with it.
I did this challenge on watercolor paper. I used my Tombow markers and water to create an ombre look. I thought it was fitting for a pattern called “Rain” and it was fun to do. My finished version has highlights with a soapstone pencil. I’ll have to take a picture of it (when I can get to it) and add it below this one.
This challenge was a DuoTangle using only Well and Punzel. I hadn’t ever tried either pattern and it took me a while to get them down. I think it turned out pretty nice overall.
I had fun with this new pattern. It has so many possibilities for shading and drawing. I think the diagonal version would be really fun for fourth of July tangles.
The name came from my daughter who thought the centers looked like the Japanese throwing star Shuriken.
